How important you think education is?

If I actually stayed in Britain or America, I don't think this won't be an issue. (Forgive me if I'm wrong, fellow UK and US mates) But honestly, if I were to compare to Singapore, Singapore is probably too high up there. The standards of living (and education)........ is too damn high

Singaporeans have to agree. I mean, my cousin (then, 12) asked me for help in Mathematics and once I saw the question, I literally had the hardest time cracking my head trying to solve the question. Guess what? I couldn't solve it. I question myself, "what the heck is happening here?!" I mean, I'm not trying to say that I'm the best in Maths but come on, I was freakin' Sec 4 that time? But yeah, how important is education? SO GODDAMN IMPORTANT IN SINGAPORE. With a diploma..... I don't think I can get myself a job that has a good salary. It scares me. I want to do well in Singapore. I want to be able to buy a house in Singapore. Getting a car would be a luxury if I had one. It's so competitive out here and the only way to reach the top is literally be smart or at least, be interested in studying. If you have no interest, you're so OUT. No wonder people would rather opt to study overseas and migrate there........ eventually. So, any countries you guys had in mind?

Put your music player on shuffle and write the first ten songs that play

  1. Gods and Monsters - Lana Del Rey
  2. Dare (La La La) - Shakira
  3. Turn Down For What - DJ Snake & Lil John
  4. Problem - Ariana Grande ft. Iggy Azalea
  5. Feelin' Myself - Will.I.Am ft. Miley Cyrus, Wiz Khalifa & French Montana
  6. Wiggle - Jason Derulo ft. Snoop Dogg
  7. Eye of the Needle - Sia
  8. Drop it On Me - Ricky Martin ft. Daddy Yankee and Taboo
  9. No Matter - Siti Shahirah (composed by my talented Fauzi Jalil heh)
  10. West Coast - Lana Del Rey
Your family

Blessed with the best (although my sisters and I aren't really the "I love you so much sister" kind but yeah we're good) My parents are really really young, considering the fact that we're all teenagers AND my oldest sister is 21 this year. I would say that my father is one strict man but I guess he kinda let the reins loose a little but I know I must never take advantage of that (which I think I am.... a little) but NO I must not. Prolly not a good idea to get into his bad book. I wouldn't want that. Then I have an overly-concerned Ibu. I think she's okay. She NEVER get scared easily..... there was a time I tried hiding and I wanted to scare her, but when I did, she just gave me a dirty look. Like, she didn't had any reaction. IT WAS SO FUNNY HAHAHAH and yeah, I just laughed it off, rolling on the floor. But wait, scratch that part about being overly concerned. I think she isn't really....... she's more like "What time are you coming home? "Where are you now?" "How come you're not home?" "Why are you there?" "Who are you with?" kind of mother. So.... yes, they brought all three of us real well. No conflicts, no dramas. We were like the wavessss. I think I had the best childhood days ALTHOUGH I DON'T REALLY REMEMBER but they brought up a really happy kid who is very independent and someone who listens well. Yes, I may not talk a lot at home BUT once I want to, I will. Basically I can talk well anywhere else hahah.
Let's see...... Kakak #1 and Kakak #2........ well, I'm okay. Our ages aren't far off from each other, maybe that's why we usually speak informally. But I still call them Kakak. The two of them.......... is like, two poles repelling to each other. I'm always stuck in between, so clueless and always having to choose sides haahahha but most of the times, I would just ignore them. But yeah, all is well.

(Back to when I just snipped off my hair in Feb)

Five guys whom you find attractive

1) Bruno Mars

I am obsessed with him then. I am still obsessed with him now. I was kinda bummed that I didn't get to go to his concert in Singapore earlier this year. I even had an app to countdown the days to his concert. I guess his voice just kills me. In the heart. I guess men with an exception love for music just turns me on. And Pete Gene Hernandez, you did the part real well. His vocals are crazy! Whenever he hits that high note, I just go whoa. Imagine him serenading to you, day and night. I just love him so much, it's crazy. And he has this wacky hairstyle, so so so so cute!

B for Bae heheehehehehe

2) Shaheizy Sam

I used to go crazy over him. Like heads over heels in love with this guy. I grew up watching his telemovies and I just couldn't stop covering my face when his cuteness shone. But yeah..... I was like what? 15 years old? OKAY IT WAS JUST 3 YEARS AGO, BUT STILL??? People change OKAY?? When I think about it, he is still adorable to me. I've blogged about him before hahahaah o k a y.

3) Lee Min Ho

Yes, I do watch Korean dramas and movies. Running Man, too. Lee Min Ho is probably one of those Korean actor that actually caught my attention. Everyone knows he's a pretty boy but his character in 'The Heirs' made me hope so much in a relationship. I teared at some parts of the drama coz he's just toooooooooo sweet and cold and arrogant but romantic BUT sadly, reality is cruel. NO ONE IS LIKE THAT SO FUCK IT. It's just a drama, get over it Syahirah.

4) ??? (To be honest, I genuinely feel that most actors are attractive but meh, I just find it a bore if I were to just pick an actor that EVERYONE loves (Tatum, for example) so I'm just gonna leave it blank until I find someone that I really really think is attractive.

5) Fauzi Jalil (How can I forget my very own precious sweetheart right?)

Call me cliché or whatever but yes, I think he is the most attractive person I've ever met in this entire world and I wouldn't trade him for anyone else. Honestly, from the very first time I saw his picture, I was captivated and just so dang curious to know who he was and how did he find me in Instagram? (Yes, we met thru Instagram) but after a year of confusing on-off moments (since July 2013) and a crazy rollercoaster ride, I can finally say he's mine. So happy that he's mine and I'm blessed to have him. Cringe all you want, but I will never stop saying how much I love him and how in love I am with him and how much I just want to be with him forever. My best friend, my love, my boyfriend, my soulmate. He's amazing, I love him to death.

So!!!!! HELLO AUGUST!!!! :-))))))) :-) :-))):-)

This month has been kinda fast and my weekends are pretty packed all because of Raya visitings and my Saturdays with Fauzi.

On my 2nd and 3rd day of Raya. My ootd for the day hehe

HALLU THERE, IS YOU STILL READING MY BLOG?

So, there was one particular Friday that Fauzi booked out pretty early so I kinda made a decision to surprise him at Pasir Ris at 1pm (I skipped school for this) After I got my MC, (ok, technically I'm sick on the day so even if I came to school, I would have partial.) I head down to Coffee Bean at Tampines and sat for 2 hours and basically tried to blend in coz everyone there was pretty into their own conversations but I was alone so there I was, with my laptop pretending to do shit with it hahahhaha. So after meddling with my laptop and drinking my fav Matcha Green Tea Latte which is so awesome btw, I went straight to Pasir Ris and waited for the boy. So, as I waited, I did see some green boys walkin' around but there weren't a lot so I wasn't really concerned. AND THEN I GOT A CALL FROM THE BOY, TELLING ME TO GO DOWN FROM MY CLASS IN SCHOOL. I WAS LIKE, 'WHAT THE HECK?' So...... I kinda flipped for a sec there coz my surprise failed. Fauzi had a surprise too, but considering I wasn't in school, his surprise failed too. So I cabbed back to Woodlands and reunited with him under his block which was meeh but at the end of it all, we had a great day. Great great greaaaaaat day! Plus, he got himself a Les Paul Jr. so you can say he is one happy boy.

And I finally get to catch up with Shireen after months of not meeting her, it was such an awesome evening with her. Met up with her at Coffee Bean at Causeway Point and YES, I bought my Matcha Green Tea Latte again. I can never get sick of it. EVER. So we talked and talked and reminisce about our secondary school days and it was really great. It's crazy that I tell her everything but she never judges and she tolerates me well. HAHAhhaha, but technically, I had to tolerate her crazy mood swings in school last time hahahahahaahaha. Those were the days, those were definitely the days.

On one of the (last few) Wednesday classes, we had a field trip to Ikea and it makes me real happy. Ikea definitely makes me feel like a child, with the maze-like structure showrooms and the cafeteria there were full of delish food. It was great. And no one says no to taking photos in Ikea right? It's a MANDATORY shot. So took a lot of crazy and candid photos and I really had a LOT of fun, with them girls. Sigh pie, can't believe Y2S1 ended already :-(

SO, AFTER MY IKEA TRIP......... which ended quite early so we had a lot of free time, I rebonded my crazy ass hair. So, good riddance. I'm gonna try to keep my hair as long as possible although it seems impossible coz I'm forever cutting it short just because I couldn't take the heat. LET'S DO THIS. I CAN DO THIS. #LONGHAIRFTW

Just like that, my Y2S1 has ended. I know I'm gonna miss this bunch. I don't know why but Semester 1 classmates are always the best. I can feel it. I love being in a class that actually loves talking and doesn't have issues/conflicts. There were a few minor ones in the beginning, but halfway thru' everything went well. They're really amazing and I swear I had a blast with them. If I had to choose which module is my favourite, it would be Project Management (coz I basically get good daily grades and aced my UTs HAHHAHAHA) but really, I guess I love projects. That's why. I love projects and executing them, something that is quite rare for a Republic Poly kid to experience coz we're into PBL (Problem-Based Learning aka sit in class and solve problems) so yeah, it was definitely fun. But tedious. But I like it. I can't wait for Sem 2 to start and meet new people again woohooooo

After my last day in school, I get to meet Kakak Mizah hehe. IT FEELS LIKE DOG YEARS SINCE WE LAST MET AND TALKED AND LAUGHED AND HANGED OUT. She came all the way from the East for me........... okay not for me. But yeah, you get it. She actually bothered coz she's actually the procrastinating queen. Once she procrastinates, it's equal to not meeting at all hahaha. But yes, I'm thankful that I get to meet her and catch up on a lot of things. Fun Fact time! Do you guys know... She's probably the only one that can pay for my meals and I wouldn't mind? HAHHAHHAHA
Anywaysssss, I can't wait to meet her again and the rest of the gang coz I think it's been a crazy while since I last met them all together and I miss them :-(

Last kopek Raya with the cb friends!!!!! So, it's the 2nd year that we actually did this but this time round, we didn't book a bus so it was kinda like meh. But on the brighter side, it was always fun when I'm with them. Always. It's like I can be myself and I don't have to worry. And it was good that my house was the last house so yayyyyyyyyyyyyy and it's cute how they all wanted to hear ghost stories but after that, all of them were so scared that they had to cab home. So much love for this group of girls.

AND I'M GOING TO SOUTH KOREA IN TWO WEEKS' TIME AND I'M FEELING SO EXCITED BUT I'M ACTUALLY HAVING DOUBTS ABOUT IT BUT IT'S OKAY. LET'S DO THIS. #DillaAndSyahirahGoesToKorea
Anddddd, my #seoulmate and I have decided that we will be vlogging during our Korea trip and we'll be posting at Youtube and I'm so damn excited about that. So get ready for some KPOP songs and some gibberish Korean from us. Stay tuneeddddddd!

A month of endurance, perseverance and faith.

So I'll scrap the fourth point out of the 30 things to talk about.

1. Five ways to win your heart
2. Something you feel strongly about
3. A book you love
4. Bullet your whole day  (Here's the thing, I do the same thing every day - eat, sleep and just rot in my bed but yea sometimes I work........ that's all)
5. Things you want to say to an ex
6. Your views on mainstream music
7. Five pet peeves
8. What you ate today

10. Put your music player on shuffle and write the first ten songs that play
11. Your family
12. Five guys whom you find attractive
13. Your opinion about your body and how comfortable you are with it
14. What you wore today

28. Somewhere you'd like to move to or visit
29. Five weird things that you like
30. One thing you're excited for

5. Things you want to say to an ex

I don't have any ex-boyfriend(s) before and I don't wish to have any. So I wouldn't prepare any. Even if I did, I won't because it's totally not worth my time.

6. Your views on mainstream music

I'm one of those people that listens to mainstream music so I don't think it's that bad, really. I mean, I can totally understand why they fall into that category - very catchy and it makes sense somehow. I listen to non-mainstream music occasionally and it's as interesting. Just that their music are considered as "not suitable" for people of all ages????? But yeah, I appreciate all genres and I just listen to any songs when I want to.

7. Five pet peeves

AHA AHA AHA LET'S DO THIS

  1. Girls that don't flush the toilet bowls (It's not like the toilet bowls are not working, I get so mad. Some girls are just so ew)
  2. Boastful people ( Honestly, no one cares how much you have or own.)
  3. People who are mean to animals (Animal lovers would understand.)
  4. People that interrupts me (No one should interrupt anyone. Literally. I will interrupt your breathing.)
  5. Attention seekers (If you really need help, you wouldn't post it on social networks okay?)
Omg can I just add a few more???? YES, I WILL.
  •  Skinny girls who says that they're fat (Bitches like you should shut the fuck up coz you're just fishing for compliments so shut your face.)
  • No smileys in texts (HAAHHAAHAHAHAHHHA I can't, it makes me feel like I'm talking to a robot with no feelings)
  • Parents who don't do any single shit when their child is wailing in public (Come on!!!!!! Don't ignore your child please!!!???? So annoying.)
I have a lot actually but.............. nevermind ahahahahahaha

8. What you ate today

CHICKEN BURGER YUM

- Highlights of the month -

Geylang with Fauzi. A day well spent. From 11 am to 12 am. We were outttttt the entire day. From finding his NS stuff to buying his clothes at Geylang - so simple yet so right. To be honest, Geylang is a place that the both of us HATED to go so you guys can imagine the sulky faces we had when we're there. Plus, it was scorching hot and the smell of the food is just too. tempting. But nevertheless, I always enjoy my time with him and the fam.

Monday with my baby. Didn't start the day well but it ended so well. Skipped my UT and I got no regrets (maybe) hahhaha but all is well. Transformers with the boy and went for sticker hunting and went to break fast at Old Town.

(just look at the face, such a cutie boy *dies*)

It was actually my first time eating Best Fries Forever (judge me all you want) and it was so good. I LOVE POTATOES IN ALL FORM AND I CAN EAT POTATOES ALL DAY. Craving for potatoes nowwwwwww

So, as I prepped myself for Hari Raya this year, I actually spring cleaned my dirty ass room and here's the outcome!
Before;
 After;

It was damn torturous and I actually wanted to give up. Cleaning and me don't really go well. But I miraculously survived!! Anyways, I also started #OperationPolaroid and I can't wait to add more and more polaroids to it!!!

AND FINALLY, ***MY FIRST DAY OF RAYA.***

Let the pictures do the talking hehehe

AND GUESS WHO'S GOING TO KOREA THIS SEPTEMBER???????!!!!! (More details in next blog post)

Monday, 30 June 2014

Welcoming June!

So, I found this in Twitter and I figured it will be a great thing for me to write about. I got 30 things to write about and it'll definitely be a fun thing to do! I'll do like 3 in a post (depending on how lazy can I get)

So, first up! "Five ways to win your heart"

Okay, so the first thing that's actually on my mind when I see that phrase is just *blank* Honestly, I don't really care about that anyway hahahahah but if I had to come up with 5 ways, well, um, let's see.............................
1) People with a sense of humour (because I laugh a lot and I find lame things funny, even the smallest of things)
2) I was never the person who lets my feelings out BUT BUT BUT I always love it when there's heart-to-heart talks late at night. It makes me happy. It makes me feel so..... relaxed(?)
3) Animal lovers PUT YOUR HANDS UP!!!!! I just love animalssssssssssss so much and I find them a joy in this world. They're just the most adorable creatures in the world and they come in all shapes and sizes. So, to be able to talk with someone who loves animals.............. it's exciting.
4) Someone who's wacky and crazy and loud and talks a lot. HAHAAHAHAH we just need a crazy person in our life!
5) A kind soul. Someone who puts others before him/herself. No further explanation needed.

When I think about it.............. I DON'T KNOW. I really don't know what I'm talking about. So much bull ahahahhahahaahha I just love meeting new people heh

- Something you feel strongly about -

Strictly against animal testing/animal cruelty/animal abuse. Recently, I just read a news article (link at the end of blog post) about a dog owner starving his own dog and how he, now, walks as a free man, it disgusts me. How can he not face any serious consequences? Animals are living things too. If I ever see a person doing injustice to ANY animal, I will get nasty. I swear. I strongly recommend people to stand up against animal abuse. Animals are meant to be loved, cared and taken care of. It saddens me that animals are not treated right. I have 3 cats at home (previously had a terrapin, several birds...... even mynah birds because they kept  coming to our apartment and fishes) and they bring happiness to my life. It makes me happy.

Love animals, it doesn't hurt.

- A book that I love -

I'm not gonna lie, I'm not a big fan of books. I'd rather read news articles. So I don't have a book that I love. But then................ I guess that's just me.

_____________________________________________________________________

Alright!!!!!!!! Back to my highlights of the month ~

Surprise outing for my Fauzi before he enlists for NS.......

I'm forever crazy during karaoke. Like an adrenaline rush would just gush into me and I'm just like; WOOHOOOO YEAAAAHHHHHHHH LET'S DO THISSS THINGGGGG I go cray cray. 3 hours of fun-filled singing. I can't wait to spend time with the boy again. I miss him already.

Before the 2 weeks' hols started, I get to spend time with Atiqa after school and it was a longgggggggg time since I get to spend time with her. I spent my Thursday with heart to heart talks with her and bimbo moments with her. I must say, I miss her and Sem 1. These girls are such gems to me. Love them so much. I foresee another chalet coming up when this semester is overrrrr *prays*

It was a great day with her. Definitely.

and so...... I watched TFIOS few days ago and I literally bawl my eyes out. I think I was sniffing so hard halfway through the movie hah. This is the 2nd time I have ever cried in my entire life over a movie. But it's worth it. It's worth the sniffing and the puffy eyes. Got me reminded of my precious Fauzi every single time a lovey dovey scene comes up. Spent my day with Fauzi's baby sisters and yeah, it was fun!!!

AND AND AND THE RETURN OF MY HANDSOME BOY FROM HIS 2 WEEKS IN TEKONG.

This is his masai face hehe

Fridays and Saturdays and Sundays should have more hours in them. I can't wait to meet him when he books out. So much love for my precious. Love you.

Okie dokie. I think that'll be all. I'll see you in my next post (I think it'll be more exciting because HARI RAYA PREPARATION YAY)
